LIE VS. TRUTH

                     

               Normally, parents are troubled with their children lying about situations or things. Now we should understand that our parents too have grown up and passed through that phase of life therefore it is standard to be troubled. However, we as kids shall understand this simple concept. The faith of every lie is that it is going to get caught. No matter how much you lie you are going to get caught. And by lying you are not causing harm to anyone nut you are hurting your conscience and inner thought. 

               A simple example is in the Sikh Religion. According to this caste it is a custom to maintain the length f hair without cutting it for your lifetime. However the deep meaning was easily explained by one of the gurus. 

         

                          " If you cut your hair you are hiding the truth of your appearance. You cut your hair or change the way you appear with whatever purpose but at the end of the day you are lying to yourself an every person who looks at you. Realize, after your hair is cut it is going to grow back to its same length and thus the truth of your appearance will come in front of you and the others. How much ever yo cut it it will return to its original length."

                Therefore it is pointless lying when we know that the truth will come out. There is no point hurting your conscience by lying every time. By lying you will be protected temporarily however you will have to face the consequences at the end. However, the truth is constant and will never change even if you see it over a long period of time. Therefore we shall always take the help of the truth and move on because a lie will hurt your conscience which can hinder your growth due to many reasons.
